Chicken jalfrezi Indian style


Ingredients:
  • Chicken breast 2
  • Finely chopped onion 1
  • Finely chopped capsicum 1
  • Boiled and chopped tomatoes 3
  • Finely chopped coriander 2-3
  • Garlic 2-3 cloves
  • Ginger 1 medium sized piece
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Whole cumin 1 tsp
  • All spice powder ½ tsp
  • Nutmeg and mace powder ½ tsp
  • Oil 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Method:-
  • Cut the breast fillet into cubes.Heat 3-4 tbsp of oil in a wok and fry the chopped ginger and 2-3 cloves of garlic until the color starts to change.Add 1finely chopped onion and 1tsp whole cumin seeds. Fry until the onions become translucent and change color.
  • Add 1 finely chopped green and red capsicum along with the cubed chicken fillets and 3 boiled and chopped tomatoes. Fry for 2-3 minutes.Add 1tsp red chili powder,1tsp coriander powder,1tsp cumin powder,1tsp turmeric powder,1/2tsp all spice powder,1/2tsp nutmeg and mace powder, salt as required and finely chopped coriander leaves.
  • Cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes.Dish out and serve with cumin flavored rice or boiled rice.
